Starting this Saturday, fans in Tokyo, Japan will be able to play "Ghostbusters Rookie Training" using an AR head-mounted device.
The location-based experience will use the prototype AR headset from Sony, to give users the power to explore real-world settings inhabited by ghosts and virtual demons.
But instead of putting users in a classic single player situation, the users must all work together to complete a series of tasks related to Ghostbuster, all while communicating with each other throughout the AR location-based game room.
And if there are doubts about the depth of experience, prospective players should be warned that each program lasts about an hour, so only truly loyal Ghostbusters fans should think of trying this.
But that one-hour commitment might be worth it even for non-fans because there seems to be an appearance by the infamous Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
Along with the headset, there are other Ghostbuster special props included in the experience that may or may not be interactive controllers.
If you are interested in trying the Ghostbusters experience, register at Ginza Sony Park in Tokyo from 12 October to 8 December.
